The Heart Behind the Home

Where Craft Meets Calm

Every home holds a quiet longing — for beauty that feels unhurried, for objects made by hand rather than machine, for scents that settle into a room like afternoon light. This is the world Maison by Ola was made for.

A Fragrance Born from Stillness

Our Beginning

A Fragrance Born from Stillness

Maison by Ola began in the quietest way — not with a business plan, but with a feeling. Ola had always been drawn to the spaces between things: the pause after opening a window to morning air, the calm of a room arranged just so, the way a certain scent could stop time and carry you somewhere far from the noise of the day.

The first plaster tablet was an experiment, poured late one evening at her kitchen table. She had been searching for a way to hold scent in something beautiful — something that didn't need a flame, didn't overwhelm, didn't demand attention. Plaster, she discovered, was the perfect vessel: porous enough to breathe fragrance slowly into a room, solid enough to become an object worth displaying.

What started as a handful of tablets gifted to friends and family grew into something larger, guided by a single conviction: that the objects we live with every day should be made with the same care and intention we bring to special occasions.

What Guides Us

Made by Hand

Every tablet is poured, finished, and inspected by a person — never a production line. That human touch is not inefficiency; it is the entire point.

Rooted in Nature

Our fragrances are drawn from the natural world — from gardens and groves, from rain-soaked earth and sun-warmed herbs. We choose scents that feel true, never synthetic.

Beauty in the Everyday

A small, well-made object placed thoughtfully in a room can shift the way an entire day feels. We create for those who believe ordinary moments deserve quiet acts of care.

Our Process

The Slow Art of Scent

Each tablet begins as a careful measure of fine plaster and pure fragrance, blended by hand until the ratio is just right — enough to perfume a room for months, gentle enough that it never overwhelms. The mixture is poured slowly into molds, each one filled with the same patience you might bring to writing a letter by hand.

As the plaster sets, it draws the fragrance into its very structure, locking scent into thousands of tiny pores that will release it gradually, faithfully, long after the moment of making has passed. Once cured, every piece is hand-finished: edges softened, surfaces smoothed, each one inspected to ensure it is something we would be proud to place in our own homes.

Looking Ahead

What Comes Next

Maison by Ola began with fragrance, but our vision has always been larger than a single scent. We are building a collection of handcrafted home objects — each one made with the same devotion to natural materials, artisanal craft, and quiet beauty that defines our plaster tablets.

New forms are taking shape in our studio: pieces designed to bring warmth, texture, and intention to the rooms where life actually happens. Wherever we go, we carry the same promise — that everything bearing our name will be made slowly, made honestly, and made to be cherished.

"

I never set out to build a brand. I set out to make something beautiful enough to live alongside — something you reach for not because you need it, but because it makes your home feel more like you.
